According to IS 2705 this guideline covers application of current transformer for use with both electrical measurng instrument and meter [Measurng current transformer] and electical protective devices in non balanced protected equipment for example for the operation of overcurrent devices both of the non directional and directional type and for the operation of earth fault devices with time lag charateristics [protective current transformer]

It has been made to the use of current transformer for dual purpose of Measurment and protection also for the operation of those protective devices which are more precisely dependent upon the magnitude and phase relationshp of voltage ans current, or upon the balance of current.
This type of transformer are use of frequence from 15 to 100Hz.

Spacfic requrement for current transformr for use with measuring And instrument,integrating meter and smmilar appratus.it also applies to the measuring core of multi core current transformer.

Bar Primary Type Current transformer :  A Current Transformer In Which The Primary winding Consist of a Bar of Suitable Size and material formng an integral Part of The current Transformer

Dry Type Resin cast Current transformer : A Current Transformer In Which Core And Winding Are Bonded By Resin

Dry Type Current transformer : A Current Transformer which does not Require the use of any liquid Or semi Liquid material.
